Park City, Utah-based Powdr Corp has completed its acquisition of Copper Mountain Resort in Summit County, Colo. Announced in mid-November, the deal’s monetary value has not been not disclosed, reports the Salt Lake Tribune.
John Cumming, Powdr Corp’s CEO, said guest experiences will remain unchanged as his company takes over the resort 75 miles west of Denver from industry giant Intrawest.
“Powdr Corp will work together with Intrawest to ensure that all of the multimountain season-pass products, vacation reservations and joint marketing initiatives will be honored for the 2009-2010 winter season,” he said. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to expand the Powdr family into Colorado.”
Copper Mountain has 2,465 acres of ski terrain around a pedestrian-oriented village.
