Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club, part of The Heritage Collection on Hilton Head Island, S.C. that features 54 holes of golf, has begun to build a short-game practice area. The project, which began on August 3rd, was designed by PGA TOUR Design Services, Inc. Upon the estimated completion date of November 15th, 2009, Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club will have a state-of-the-art facility designed for virtually any type of short-game practice.

In addition to the short-game area, Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club also offers an extensive clubhouse, with over 15,000 sq. ft. of space, including a 6,831-sq. ft. veranda, a world-class Racquet Club, a practice area, croquet court, golf shop and locker rooms. The 16-court Racquet Club features 10 Har-Tru clay courts, two grass courts, four hard courts of which two are lighted, and a tennis pro shop. The amenities at Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club also include dining facilities with a full-service bar, a grand ballroom, and several multi-purpose rooms.
