The Florida Division of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) recently announced that Dave Brown, Tennis Director of Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club, Ormand Beach, Fla., has been named the 2009 “Professional of the Year” for the division’s Daytona Beach District.

In addition to his position at the club, Brown is a USPTA Master Professional, High Performance Coach, and a USTA National Trainer for recreational coaches.

“This award recognizes Dave for volunteer services to the tennis industry, community tennis, and fundraising efforts for the United Way local charities,” said Maria Tuohy, Plantation Bay’s General Manager.
