Benzakour was recently selected the winner of the 2006 Rising Star Award by the McMahon Group and C&RB while serving as Clubhouse Manager at Bonnie Briar Country Club in Larchmont, N.Y. Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa has made two appointments to its food and beverage team. David Jay Ledee has joined the resort as Sushi Chef for Cascades Grille and Sushi Bar. Ledee has studied under two master chefs trained in Japan, both with licenses to prepare blowfish, where expert skill is required to remove the deadly neurotoxin. Robert Murphy has been named Sous Chef, assisting food operations for the six restaurants and four lounges on the property.

Dan Scavino, whose first job in the golf business was as a caddie and bag room attendant, has been named General Manager of the same facility where he started: Trump National Golf Club, Westchester (located 37 miles north of New York City). Scavino, who previously worked for Coca-Cola and Galderma Labs, returned to a golf career in 2004, holding various positions at the club. |
