The Fort Myers, Fla., club’s project dedicated 3,000 sq. ft. to two exercise rooms, and added a 65,000-gallon outdoor lap pool that is complemented by “Flip Flops,” a resort-style poolside bar. Additional renovation enhancements include a new golf cart parking lot and new landscaping.
A 5,000-sq. ft. expansion of social and recreational facilities at the Plaza del Sol Town Center at Pelican Preserve in Fort Myers, Fla., is complete.
“With this expansion, we’ve gone above and beyond to provide a resort-style club experience for our Pelican Preserve residents,” said General Manager Joe Smith.
The expansion dedicates 3,000 sq. ft. to two exercise rooms—nearly tripling the center’s current space—while existing exercise space was renovated into a more open floor plan. Additional cardio and strength-training equipment was added to Pelican Preserve’s Soleil Health & Fitness Center.
The new 65,000-gallon outdoor lap pool is complemented by “Flip Flops,” the community’s casual resort-style poolside bar that features daily specials and unique menu items. Additional renovation enhancements include a new golf cart parking lot and new landscaping.
The expansion project follows the remodeling of the Destinations restaurant and the expansion of the card room. The 70,000-sq. ft., multi-building Plaza del Sol complex offers Pelican Preserve residents indoor swimming and fitness, arts and crafts studios, and a 100-seat theater.
