A collaboration between the Windsor, Colo., club and nearby High Hops Brewery has resulted in Pelican Lakes Lager, which will make its debut at the brewery on March 15 and be available on draft at the club afterward. “It’s going to be a nice, refreshing beer you can drink on a warm, sunny day and not get too full,” head brewer Zach Weakland said.
High Hops Brewery and Pelican Lakes Golf and Country Club in Windsor, Colo., have collaborated to create a golf course-inspired beer, the Windsor Beacon reported.
The Pelican Lakes Lager beer is a collaboration between the Windsor brewery and the club and is set to be unveiled at High Hops on March 15. As far as both High Hops and Pelican Lakes know, it will be the only golf course-specific beer offered in Colorado, the Beacon reported.
“We’ve done smaller collaborations, but never done a large exclusive beer for an establishment so we’re really excited about this opportunity,” High Hops Head Brewer Zach Weakland said. “We’re shooting for the perfect golf beer. It’s going to be a nice and refreshing beer you can drink on a warm, sunny day and not get too full off of it.”
After its unveiling from 12 to 7 p.m. at High Hops, the Pelican Lakes Lager beer will be on draft at the Pelican Lakes Country Club Restaurant, and its soon-to-open lower-level Sand Bar, the Beacon reported.
