Almost a year after the Holland (Mich.) Country Club went into foreclosure, it will finally have a new owner, reports The Holland Sentinel. Ottawa County will turn much of the former Holland Country Club into a park and wetlands.
The county board approved the $450,000 purchase earlier this month.
Holland Country Club was open from 1921 until March 2009, when it closed because of falling membership. Macatawa Bank acquired the foreclosed property that April. A developer agreed to purchase the land in June, but backed out of the deal in October.
