A list of the “Best and Worst Foodie Cities for Your Wallet” puts the home of Disney World at the top, followed by Grand Rapids, Mich., Madison, Wis., Boise City, Idaho, and Cincinnati, Ohio.
WalletHub, a financial social network, has compiled “2014’s Best and Worst Foodie Cities for Your Wallet.” The list was a result of grading the 150 most populous cities in America based on a number of factors for “wallet wellness,” such as cost of groceries, prevalence of top-ranking cheap restaurants, and sales tax, as well other factors for diversity and quality—like the number of restaurants per capita, number of food trucks, and even the number of food festivals.
Topping the list is Orlando, Fla., followed by Grand Rapids, Mich., Madison, Wis., Boise City, Idaho, and Cincinnati, Ohio. Houston, Texas offers the most affordable groceries, Milwaukee has the lowest average beer and wine prices, while San Francisco, Oakland, and Fremont, Calif., all tied for the highest number of restaurants per capita.
