Orange County National (OCN), host of the 2010 PGA Tour’s Qualifying School finals in Winter Garden, Fla., is giving golfers a chance to earn their card—not a PGA Tour card, but an OCN Gift Card. As home to the Panther Lake and Crooked Cat courses, OCN is kicking off 2009 with a new six-month promotion awarding monthly prizes worth $3,000.
Dubbed “Play Hard For Your Card,” the promotion gives golfers an opportunity to win an OCN Gift Card redeemable for golf, lodging and merchandise. “Our 2008 ‘Play Hard, Win Big promotion’ was a huge success,” says Jimmy Bell, Orange County National ‘s Director of Sales and Marketing. “It encouraged golfers to keep coming out and playing Orange County National. We gave away $40,000 in prizes last year.
“The new ‘Play Hard For Your Card’ [promotion] plays off of the PGA Tour Qualifying School, which we will again be hosting in 2010,” Bell adds. “Golfers won’t win a PGA Tour card, but they will win an OCN Gift Card that they can redeem for more golf. All they have to do is come out and play, and the more they play, the more chances they have to win.”
