Two of Oklahoma’s top private clubs—Southern Hills CC in Tulsa and
Gaillardia CC in Oklahoma City—will host, and have their executive
chefs prominently featured in, the Odyssey de Culinaire events held by
the Oklahoma Restaurant Association later this summer.
The first dinner, to be held July 31 at Gaillardia, will bring Devin
Levine of Southern Hills and chefs from four other leading Tulsa-area
restaurants to Oklahoma City, to prepare special dishes for a
six-course meal with accompanying wine selections.
Then two weeks later, on August 14 at Southern Hills, the tables will
be turned to bring Gaillardia’s Brad Evers and others from Oklahoma
City-area restaurants to Tulsa for a similar event.
The restaurant association is selling tickets to the evenings on a
limited, first-come, first-served basis, with each individual dinner
costing $125 but both available at a special discounted price of $200.
Both evenings will benefit the restaurant association’s Hospitality
Career Initiative, by raising funds for teacher training and
development, materials and resources for student recruitment,
assistance with job placement for internships, graduate employment and
industry-driven events for hospitality students, and other education
and mentoring programs to help develop the skills needed for culinary
and hospitality careers.
