The show will be held on May 5-8, 2012.
On June 22, 2011, President Obama announced that a Global Summit to include both the G8 and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will be held in Chicago from May 15-22, 2012. These dates directly overlap with NRA Show 2012, which was originally scheduled from May 19-22, 2012.
Meetings with the Chicago Mayor’s Office, the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau and McCormick Place have made it clear that the heightened level of security and extensive logistics required during the Summit will compromise our customers’ ability to have a productive and enjoyable Show.
Therefore, the National Restaurant Association has changed the NRA Show dates to May 5-8, 2012 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. The International Wine, Spirits & Beer Event (IWSB), held in conjunction with NRA Show 2012, will also move to new dates – May 6-7, 2012.
The National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show attracts 58,000+ foodservice professionals and brings an estimated $100+ million dollars and over 60,000 jobs to Chicago to support the show. The NRA Show has called Chicago home since 1950 and is currently contracted to remain in Chicago through 2016.
