Two forces in youth golf have created a unique working relationship that promises to introduce more youngsters to golf, it was announced jointly by Chad Daymont, Assistant Director Foundation Programs of the North California Golf Association Foundation and Joshua Jacobs, President of Total Golf Adventures.
The NCGA Foundation’s Youth on Course initiative offers children across Northern California the opportunity to play some of the area’s best courses for $5 or less while participating youngsters put to use the life skills and values training they learned in their Youth on Course certified program. Meanwhile, Total Golf Adventures (TGA) provides after school golf enrichment programs in 23 states at approximately 1,700 schools, day care centers and other similar facilities.
The NCGA Foundation will create one “conglomerate” golf club made up of the individual TGA chapters in which all Northern California TGA members will be enrolled upon signing up for the program. In addition to receiving great Youth on Course rates, as NCGA members all participants will also receive a membership card, NCGA Golf magazine, and the ability to establish an official handicap index.
The NCGA Foundation will also team up with TGA territories to bring a schedule of free golf and life skills clinics for youth in Northern California. Clinics will be completely subsidized by the NCGA Foundation.
