Short game areas not only serve new and beginning golfers but provide a great place for existing players to really practice the shots that can lower scores.
Nashua (N.H.) Country Club’s membership recently voted to build their own short game practice facility next to the existing driving range, reports The Nashua Telegraph.
The facility will feature a variety of different target greens with different approach angles plus bunkers next to the greens and fairway bunkers. Shots can be played from 100 yards on in. Golfers can practice from uphill, downhill and sidehill lies.
“We’re excited about this new feature,” Nashua CC General Manager David Scaer said, “We just approved construction of the project and we will break ground shortly.”
