The Georgetown, Del., community acquired the 18-hole championship golf course, adding to its food and beverage amenities and event business. The golf course will be open to the public, and annual Pointe passes for unlimited golf are available as well.
Mulligan’s Pointe Golf & Community Club in Georgetown, Del., has acquired Sussex Pines Country Club, a long-established 18-hole championship course.
The Pointe also features daily dining in the onsite restaurant and bar, with plans in the works for happy hours, social events, and new additions of local craft beers, plus catered event hosting for weddings, banquets, fundraisers and beyond.
New owners Pete and Michelle Townsend confirm that the new Mulligan’s Pointe is open to the public and encourage the community to visit over the coming months to see in person the ongoing Improvements, including expansions to the bar, the addition of an outdoor dining area overlooking the course and a relocated and updated pro shop. Also in the works are plans to renovate and refresh the club’s two spacious banquet rooms and the addition of Bermuda Grass Fairways to the golf course.
Plans for an updated menu, weekly happy hours, and the property’s popular bar bingo and trivia nights are part of the new lively event calendar.
Mulligans Pointe golf is open to the public seven days a week all year long, In addition to everyday tee times, annual Pointe passes for unlimited golf are now available. No membership is required for an avid golf-lover to enjoy a few rounds at any point during the year. Corporate Membership options are ideal for small businesses and offer various complimentary daily passes for clients, staff, and associates. Tournaments, golfing lessons and other special events are in the works as well.
