Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, N.J., was named the host site for the 2012 USGA Senior Amateur Championship, the United States Golf Association has announced.
“Mountain Ridge Country Club is most pleased and honored to have been selected to host this prestigious USGA national championship,” said Bruce Schonbraun, Mountain Ridge’s club President. “Our club will mark its 100th anniversary in 2012 and it will, no doubt, be a special year. We are delighted to have the opportunity to host the finest senior amateur golfers from across the nation.”
The dates for the championship will be September 29-October 4, 2012.
The 2009 USGA Senior Amateur will be played at Beverly Country Club in Chicago, September 12-17. In 2010, the tournament will be held at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando, Fla., from October 2-7. One year later, the championship goes to Kinloch Golf Club in Manakin-Sabot, Va., where it will be held from September 10-15.
