Mountain Falls Golf Club in Pahrump, Nev., a daily-fee property located about 60 miles west of Las Vegas, has selected OB Sports Golf Management, a division of Troon, to oversee golf operations, agronomy and sales and marketing for the club, which is the centerpiece of the 650-acre master-planned Mountain Falls community currently under development by Taylor Morrison Homes.
Mountain Falls GC features a Cal Olson- and Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course that originally opened for play in 2002. The 18-hole, par-72 course features year-round rye grass fairways, as well as views of the surrounding mountains and desert vistas.
Known as “Nevada’s Desert Jewel”, the club also features two swimming pools, a play pool with splash pad, a community fitness facility with a multi-purpose room, a banquet facility and scenic walking trails. The Mountain Falls clubhouse is home to the golf shop and The Grill Room restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
“We are thrilled to announce this management relationship with OB Sports,” said James Gomez, Division President for Taylor Morrison. “Our shared goal is to enhance the experience for golf guests at Mountain Falls, as well as providing additional benefits for our valued homeowners.”
Added C.A. Roberts, President of OB Sports: “OB Sports is proud to be affiliated with such a fine golf course and community as Mountain Falls. Given our company’s extensive experience in Nevada, combined with the additional support of Troon, we are greatly looking forward to working with Taylor Morrison on this exciting project.”
