The Fountain Valley, Calif. club is offering the opportunity to play its two David Rainville-designed courses for $50, which includes a cart and commemorative anniversary cap. Prices for driving-range balls, hot dogs, sodas and chips and salsa are also being rolled back to 50 cents for the celebration.
Mile Square Golf Course in Fountain Valley, Calif., is celebrating its 50th anniversary during the first week of July with a series of “50-themed” specials.
The festivities are kicking off on Monday, July 1st and Tuesday, July 2nd, when golfers can play either the club’s Players Golf Course or Classic Golf Course for only $50, which includes green fees, a golf cart, and a free 50th Anniversary commemorative golf cap.
Many other costs will be rolled back during the week to celebrate the club’s opening in 1969. On Wednesday, July 3rd, hot dogs will be sold for 50 cents at the clubhouse snack bar, on Thursday, July 4th, golfers will be able to hit golf balls with 50-cent tokens, and on Friday, July 5th, all sodas will only cost 50 cents.
Throughout the five-day celebration, inside the clubhouse and at the bar, chips and salsa will also be sold for 50 cents.
“It has been an honor serving Southern California for 50 years,” said Scott Chaffin, Mile Square’s General Manager. “We have seen generations grow up on this special facility, and I can say personally that it has been very fulfilling.
“This ‘50’-inspired promotion is fun and a play on the anniversary, but it is also a small way of giving back,” Chaffin added. “We welcome the entire community to join us as we celebrate this historical moment and enjoy our ‘50’-inspired specials.”
In addition to Mile Square GC’s 18-hole golf courses, both of which were designed by David Rainville, the club features a fully renovated clubhouse with full-service banquet facilities.
