The Wadsworth, Ill., club’s venue, called Wedgewood North Shore, will be able to accommodate up to 400 guests. Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Center, a national banquet chain with venues primarily in the West, will invest $1 million in renovations to the property.
Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Center, the largest wedding and banquet chain in the nation, said it will launch its first venue in the Midwest at the Midlane Country Club in Wadsworth, Ill., the Arlington Heights, Ill.-based Daily Herald reported.
Wedgewood North Shore is capable of accommodating up to 400 guests. Ceremonies can take place either inside the venue or outside alongside the club’s lake. Receptions at Wedgewood North Shore can be held in four different settings, including a grand ballroom with a full-service bar, a dance floor, vaulted ceilings and a fireplace-enhanced foyer, as well as three smaller ballrooms, each with a variety of unique views and amenities, the Daily Herald reported.
The chain plans to invest $1 million in renovations this fall, the Daily Herald reported.
Now accepting bookings for banquets and weddings, the venue also includes an on-site hotel, which features 80 rooms available to wedding parties and guests. Additional facilities include Wedgewood North Shore’s after-party lounge for hosting post-reception celebrations, the Daily Herald reported.
“Wedgewood North Shore marks a new milestone in Wedgewood’s ongoing expansion as our first location outside of the western United States,” said Wedgewood’s President Bill Zaruka. “We are so proud to be bringing our 30 years of wedding planning expertise, our affordable, all-inclusive wedding packages and our dedicated team to the Chicago area.”
