The M Club owns four properties, all of which are currently operated by OB Sports Golf Management.
Phil Mickelson recently announced the formation of the M Club, a membership golf programs in Arizona, and hit a ceremonial opening shot with Scottsdale mayor Jim Laine at McDowell Mountain Golf Club, Fountain Hills, Ariz.
The recently renovated facility is one of 10 clubs in the state that members of the M Club gain access to for an initiation fee of $5,000 and $605 monthly dues, reports Golfweek. In addition to Mickelson, the M Club is co-owned by Steve Loy, chief executive officer of Gaylord Sports Management.
The M Club now owns four properties: McDowell Mountain, Palm Valley in Goodyear, and the Rim Club and Chaparral Pines in Payson. All of them are currently operated by OB Sports Golf Management. The membership program is in the midst of securing access rights to several other properties.
In a statement, Mickelson said: “We’re offering affordable accessibility to a number of courses, private and public. We’re convinced this is a winning play to increase options for private club members and give public golfers a private club experience.”
