The new Club Leaders Alliance™ between the three firms will pursue a mission and vision of “rally[ing] club leaders to adopt proven best practices” and to “provide the knowledge processes and talent to create relevant clubs for today and the future.”
McMahon Group, the St. Louis, Mo.-based consulting firm, has announced that it has developed the Club Leaders Alliance™ (CLA) with Kopplin Kuebler & Wallace, the executive search firm, and Club Benchmarking, which provides business intelligence, financial modeling and key performance indicators for the private-club industry.
The mission and vision of the Club Leaders Alliance, according to McMahon Group Chairman William P. McMahon, Sr., is “to rally club leaders to adopt proven best practices” and “to provide the knowledge processes and talent to create relevant clubs for today and the future.”
An announcement about the formation of the Alliance explained that “After more than ten years of working together independently, the [three] firms felt it was essential to work more closely, in order to more effectively serve clubs in all of their operational, financial, staffing strategic and facility aspects.
“This is an especially important time to bring together our expertise to help in the post-COVID period,” the announcement added.
The principals of the firms in the Alliance that will now work together to “serve clubs in all aspects of club planning, operations, finances and facilities” include:
- Dick Kopplin, Kurt Kuebler and Tom Wallace of Kopplin Kuebler & Wallace
- Ray Cronin and Jim Butler of Club Benchmarking
- Bill McMahon, Sr., Frank Vain and Chris Coulter of McMahon Group
“If it has been done in the club industry, it has been done in the over 3,000 clubs the Alliance firms have served,” the announcement said. “Whether it is management search, understanding club finances, strategic planning or facility planning, the Alliance member firms have the unequaled expertise and skills to resolve any club challenge.
“The three founding Alliance firms are independent entities working together for the common good of the club industry while also serving individual clubs with their own challenges,” the announcement added.
Principals of the CLA will participate in an educational seminar held by the Club Management Association of America on June 15th to discuss best practices that their firms are currently helping clubs to implement.
