Tree House Brewing Company is easing its way into the golf industry after acquiring the Tewksbury (Mass.) Country Club in May 2022. The clubhouse has more than 40 beers on tap, but golfers don’t have to wait till the round is over. After the fourth hole, there’s a sign that guides golfers to a beer trailer.
Tree House, a Charlton, Mass.-based brewer, acquired the 25-year-old Tewksbury (Mass.) Country Club in May 2022 and began offering tee times earlier this summer. Club + Resort Business reported on the purchase at the time.
The beer theme is prevalent throughout the nine-hole course, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette reported. There’s also Spencer Austin Oakholm Brewing Company’s 18-hole disc course for those looking for an alternative. Spencer Austin designed the course, with work starting after the brewery opened in 2019.
“We figured it would take us six or eight months to throw in a course,” he said. “Three and a half years later we finally finished it.”

Tee times on the golf course are only available on weekdays for now and they only want golfers to play nine holes, the Telegram & Gazette reported. The course operators at the Tree House indicated they want to get a full season managing a golf course under their belts before opening up the tee sheet.
