New program provides college students with opportunities to play discounted golf at 23 courses in the U.S.
Marriott Golf has introduced its College Links program, which offers college students discounted twilight (after 3 p.m.) rates at 23 of Marriott’s courses in the U.S.
The program is designed to give cash-strapped students who enjoy the game the chance to save money while playing highly-ranked championship courses, and follows other grow-the-game initiatives that Marriott has introduced, including -Kids Golf-4-Free and Fairways-Fore-FREEdom.
Marriott’s “College Links” program will run through June 1st 2015 and be available to student golfers presenting a valid college ID. As well as paying the discounted green fees, students will receive a free twilight replay certificate, valid until September 1, 2015, for use on another day.
“College students are always at work and play with their friends and/or families, and so many enjoy the game of golf,” said James Keane, Senior Director of Operations, Marriott Golf. “Now, with our College Links program, we are making our portfolio of championship and resort golf courses more accessible to this important group of golfers.
“The College Links program also provides a healthy, fun recreation alternative for college students, not to mention a terrific stress reliever to the daily grind of classwork that consumes many students during each school year,” Keane added.
