Eight golfers can participate in the afternoon session at the St. Regis Princeville course in Hawaii that concludes with sipping signature wine or tropical juice in a keepsake glass.
Every Monday at 4 p.m., the Makai Golf Club at the St. Regis Princeville in Princeville, Kauai, Hawaii, now assembles up to eight new golfers for professional instruction and a chance to play on the course’s three signature oceanfront holes.
The introductory experience, called the “Mahalo Monday Mixer,” include club rentals and a golf cart at an attractive rate of $60 per single player or $99 per couple. The experience finishes on the Makai course’s most spectacular hole, #7, with its scenic views of Kauai’s Hanalei Bay and Napali Coast, where participants can sip signature Prosecco wine or tropical juice in a keepsake, etched glass.
The Mahalo Monday Mixer has been designed to create a fun, casual and spectacular experience that can encourage those new to the sport to play golf in a fun, relaxed and friendly way on one of Hawaii’s top five golf courses. The lessons and golf last two hours, with instruction given for the first half-hour, after which participants play holes #3, 6 and 7.
The program is suited for singles, couples, groups of family or friends and youth over eight years of age. “This is one of my favorite programs here,” says Heidi Jensen, Makai GC’s Director of Marketing. “This is an experience Kauai’s visitors can incorporate into their vacation as something new to do, yet it doesn’t take up an entire day. We hear lots of laughter and see a lot of enjoyment among new golfers participating in the Mahalo Monday Mixer.”
The Makai Golf Club at St. Regis Princeville, managed by Troon, features 27 holes of within two distinctive courses: the 18-hole championship Makai Course, and the 9-hole Woods Course.
