$1.8 million rebuild done using reserves.
Golfers are back to their game at Legends Golf & Country Club in south Fort Myers, Fla, reports The News-Press. The 650-acre community recently finished a complete rebuild of its par 72, Joe Lee-designed championship course.
Workers took greens down to their base and reconstructed the entire area – tees, greens, fairways and roughs.
More than a decade old, the 18-hole course had worn down and the revamp was needed. The down market offered competitive prices for reconstruction with the project coming in at approximately $1.8 million.
Legends paid for the reconstruction through reserve funds collected over five years.
