The 476-acre Leesburg, Va., property will be repositioned as a retreat, with a complete renovation of its 296 guestrooms, including signature suites and the Presidential Suite. The redesign, which will incorporate a Virginia Wine Country aesthetic, will be completed in spring 2016.
Lansdowne Resort, A Destination Hotel has announced a multi-million-dollar renovation, repositioning the 476-acre Leesburg, Va., property into a retreat that will appeal to past guests as well as new groups of travelers.
In time to commemorate Lansdowne’s 25th anniversary, the expansive renovation will feature a complete redesign of the resort’s 296 guestrooms, including signature suites and the Presidential Suite; coupled with extensive resources and training dedicated to elevating guest service levels. The inspiration behind the redesign was derived from Lansdowne’s natural surroundings that serve as the gateway into the Virginia Wine Country. The guestroom redesign will be completed in spring 2016.
The color palette of the new guestrooms will coincide with the picturesque views of the estate, with soft, earth-toned colors capturing the essence of wine country. The new rooms and suites will feature textured fabrics and clean-lined furnishings to provide a residential ambiance. Furniture and décor will pay homage to Northern Virginia’s wine country, with bar carts employed as mini bars, ‘wine cask’ nightstands, and glasses made from recycled wine bottles. The wine aesthetic will also be implemented into the guestroom artwork, with images depicting the beautiful grounds, farm fields and natural landscape ensconced in frames made from wine corks.
The 1,000-sq. ft. Presidential Suite will incorporate a calming blend of hues and textures that reflect the resort’s natural surroundings. To complement the residential country aesthetic, the finishes will incorporate residential touches such as hard wood flooring, custom handmade area rugs and upgraded finishes and fabrics. Technology will be upgraded to include 55″ LCD screens appropriate for relaxation and as a digital resource for private business conferences. The bridal experience will also be enhanced by incorporating a dressing table and full length mirrors into the guestroom to facilitate preparation for the big day.
“The renovations to Lansdowne will not only elevate the guest experience, but will bring a modern, refined look to the property,” said Skip James, Director of Sales & Marketing, Lansdowne Resort. “These exciting enhancements will further solidify our stature as a leading luxury resort in Northern Virginia.”
Lansdowne features 45 holes of championship golf, a full-service luxury spa, five swimming pools, a state-of-the-art health and fitness center and a multitude of dining options. The resort offers over 55,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space, including 37 centrally organized meeting rooms, a 9,525-sq. ft. Grand Ballroom, a 3,293-sq. ft. Terrace Ballroom, and a 126-seat amphitheater.
