The Dow Hotel Company announced the completion of a $7 million, 18-month refurbishment of the Lakeway Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas, Frequent Business Traveler reported.
The hotel’s public spaces and 168 guest rooms were outfitted with new and more modern carpeting and furniture. The property’s décor now reflects a contemporary style that blends traditional Texas elements with natural elements found in the colors and visual patterns of Lake Travis, Traveler reported.
A new restaurant, Masterson’s Steakhouse, was also built on the premises as part of the renovation. In addition, the property’s meeting and event spaces were updated to take advantage of the resort’s lake view, Traveler reported.
Another new element, the 4,000-sq. ft. Kid Zone play area, offers parents the option of leaving their children in an adult-supervised environment, Traveler reported.
Other features of the Lakeway Resort and Spa include a spa and fitness center, heated outdoor pools, lakeside dining, sailing, a marina, and nearby golf and tennis, Traveler reported.
