Kings Creek Country Club in Rehobeth Beach, Del. has expanded its kitchen area to now include more storage and meeting-room space and encompass a total of about 4,000 sq. ft., the Cape Gazette of Lewes, Del. reported.
The project, completed by Whayland Co., a local construction firm, followed the recent renovation of Kings Creek’s former kitchen, which is now being used as administrative offices, the Gazette reported.
Kings Creek and Whayland have now collaborated on three projects in the past two years, the Gazette reported. Another major project created a new 6,600-sq. ft. pool building for the club that featured several amenities, including a kitchen, lounge area, fitness room, changing area and restrooms. Construction for the building began in November 2018 and it was completed in time for the pool’s Memorial Day opening in 2019.
Whayland Co. also recently worked on projects that built a new outside bar area and new swimming pool and fitness center for Rehoboth Beach (Del.) Country Club, the Gazette reported. Other recent Whayland projects at area clubs have included work done at the Coastal Club in Lewes and at the Peninsula on the Indian River Bay golf community in Millsboro, Del.
