The Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization established by CMAA in 1988, named six recipients of the 2014 Willmoore H. Kendall Scholarships, which provide tuition support to mid-management professionals who are interested in pursuing the Certified Club Manager designation.
The Club Foundation has announced the recipients of the 2014 Willmoore H. Kendall Scholarships:
• Barbara Alderson, West Bay Beach & Golf Club, Estero, Fla.
• Mark Bechtel, Brookside Golf & Country Club, Columbus, Ohio
• David Cunningham, Belle Meade Country Club, Nashville, Tenn.
• Anita Nalepa-Hoskins, Ballantyne Country Club, Charlotte, N.C.
• Jessica O’Hare, Eugene Country Club, Eugene, Ore.
• Ryan O’Neil, Diablo Country Club, Diablo, Calif.
The Club Foundation established the Willmoore H. Kendall Scholarship in memory of CMAA Past President Bill Kendall and is supported in part by contributions made by Jonas Software, a CMAA Gold Alliance Partner. The scholarship provides tuition support to mid-management professionals who are interested in pursuing the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation.
Recipients receive the tuition costs associated with CMAA’s Business Management Institutes (BMI) including BMI I, BMI II, BMI III, BMI Food and Beverage or BMI Golf Management (if required for certification eligibility), and the Certification Review Course, and other CCM associated fees.
