The Santa Rosa, Calif. property has two 18-hole courses designed by Ted Robinson that each offer scenic views of the Annadel State Park Forest.
Northbrook, Ill.-based KemperSports has been selected to manage the Oakmont Golf Club (OGC), a semi-private, member-owned, golf club located in the Oakmont Retirement Community in Santa Rosa, Calif.
OGC offers two 18-hole layouts within the picturesque surroundings of the Mayacama Mountains. The Championship West Course offers challenging green complexes with strategically placed bunkers, while the par-63 East Course delivers a similar golf experience on a smaller scale with additional bunkering and water hazards.
Both courses offer scenic views of the Annadel State Park Forest and were designed by Ted Robinson, a past President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, who has gained acclaim for more than 160 design projects, including Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash., which hosted the 1998 PGA Championship.
The golf club includes a clubhouse, grill, restaurant facilities used for special occasions and a large banquet space. In addition to 36 holes of golf, the golf facilities contain two golf shops and a full practice area at the West Course that includes a double-sided driving range, with grass and mats, practice bunker and chipping green. Putting greens are provided at both courses.
“Oakmont Golf Club is a property with a rich history in the local market,” said Steve Skinner, KemperSports’ Chief Executive Officer. “We look forward to working with staff and ownership on ways to enhance the overall experience at the club for the members and the community at large.”
