KemperSports announced that it has been selected to manage The Castle Course at Northern Bay Resort in Arkdale, Wis.
Located along the shores of Castle Rock Lake, The Castle Course at Northern Bay Resort features an 18-hole replica golf course that was ranked the 4th Best New Public Golf Course by Golf Digest in 2006. The course had gained national acclaim for its remakes of classically designed golf holes such as Augusta National Nos. 13 and 16, Oakland Hills No. 5, Firestone No. 16, TPC Sawgrass No. 17, Bay Hill No. 18 and Oakmont No. 3.
The golf course is part of a full-service resort that also includes overnight accommodations with on-site houses and condo rentals, marina on Castle Rock Lake with swimming beach and boat rentals, and clubhouse with several dining options, including the recently renovated Island View Restaurant.
“After assuming ownership in 2010, we have been encouraged by the overall results, however, we felt the need to create a partnership with a firm that specializes in high end golf resort management,” said President Darrel Malek. “We are also looking forward to seeing all of the new guests that their outstanding marketing network will bring to experience everything that Northern Bay has to offer.”
“The Castle Course is a very strong golf course that we believe has tremendous potential,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “We look forward to working with the ownership group and staff to bring greater attention to the resort and enhance the guest experience.”
