The inaugural KemperClub Championship was held at the property on October 20-22, establishing the management firm’s new initiative, which is designed to enhance golfer enjoyment through special promotions and unique events.
To commemorate the launch of KemperClub, KemperSports’ new customer enjoyment initiative, the company hosted the inaugural KemperClub Championship at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort on October 20-22.
KemperClub is a new initiative from KemperSports that is designed to enhance golfers’ enjoyment with special promotions and events at KemperSports golf courses. KemperClub members will be offered unique experiences and events at more than 100 KemperSports managed properties across the country. For more information on KemperClub, visit www.kemperclub.com.
The event, the first through the program, consisted of 40, 2-person teams competing in a fourball format over three rounds. Glenn Daly and Vince Brunssen, both from Chaparral Golf Club in Seguin, Texas, won.
In addition to winning the overall Championship, Daly and Brunssen were also victorious in the Bandon Preserve par-3 Shoot-Out in a 3-club alternate shot format. Contestants Brad Balbo and John Garigen won The Punchbowl Putting Contest in a 9-hole fourball format with a score of 20.
KemperSports also recently acquired the White Pines Golf Dome at the White Pines Golf Course in Bensenville, Ill. The indoor golf facility opened its doors for the winter golf season on November 1. KemperSports purchased the Dome from long-time owner and operator Mike Munro, and will operate the Dome through a partnership with the Bensenville Park District.
A staple of winter golf in the area for more than 20 years, White Pines Golf Dome delivers ideal winter practice conditions with 48 hitting stalls on two levels, a 45-ft. contoured putting green, a golf simulator station and private and group instruction opportunities from a stable of PGA professionals. The heated dome is also known for the depth of its range, allowing for golfers to hit at targets more than 100 yards away.
KemperSports is planning to enhance the Dome experience, including launching a season-long Yeti Club Rewards Card, a points-based loyalty program that delivers added benefits, member rates and promotions for returning guests. The card can be purchased for $20 before December 1. It will be free for junior golfers (under 18) all season long.
The addition of White Pines Golf Dome to the KemperSports portfolio gives the company 15 properties under management in the state.
