KemperSports announced that is has acquired Corte Bella Golf Club in Sun City West, Ariz., to expand its private-club portfolio to 17 properties.
Corte Bella GC opened in 2004, as part of a 1,650-home, active-adult (45+) private gated community. Its 191-acre, 18-hole golf course was designed by Greg Nash and plays just over 7,000 yards from the back tees. It features multiple tee areas, wide fairways and inviting, large greens that are reminiscent of resort-style courses in the area.
The Corte Bella facility also includes a 6,500-sq. ft. clubhouse, with a fully appointed golf shop, locker room, grill operation and expansive patio area that overlooks a 23-station driving range.
As part of its goal to enhance the golf and club experience at Corte Bella and to grow its membership base, KemperSports plans to improve course conditions and enhance outdoor social spaces on the property, while also bringing additional community events and live entertainment to the club.
Corte Bella GC joins the 36-hole Bear Creek Golf Complex in Chandler, Ariz. as the second Arizona facility within KemperSports’ portfolio. As a private club, it will also become a part of KemperCollection, a program that offers preferred rates and member access to private clubs throughout the KemperSports portfolio. Other private residential golf clubs that KemperSports has owned and operated over its 40-year history have included The Governors Club in Brentwood, Tenn. and Royal Melbourne Country Club in Long Grove, Ill.
“Corte Bella offers a premier golf experience in a prime location with a strong and committed membership,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner, noting that the acquisition reflects KemperSports’ continued commitment to expanding its footprint within the private-club sector.
“We look forward to working with the Corte Bella Country Club Association to take the club to the next level in its member and guest experience,” Skinner added.
