Hayward, Calif.-based Montague, which set the foodservice industry a-sizzle when it announced its Montague Suite Dreams Design Challenge earlier this year, has announced that all of the entries are in and the judging is underway. The challenge is pairs a designer and chef/operator, and pits them against other pairs of like teams to create the ultimate kitchen suite design.
The group of judges for the Montague Suite Dreams Challenge includes Brad Barnes, CMC, Associate Dean of Culinary Education, Culinary Institute of America, and President/Founder of GigaChef, LLC; Ed Engoron, President CEO of Perspectives/The Consulting Group; Julaine R. Kiehn, Director/Campus Dining Services at the University of Missouri; Chris Koetke, CEC/CCE, Dean School of Culinary Arts at Kendall College and Hervé Le Biavant, CEC/CCE/CMT, Culinary Instructor at Mission Valley Regional Occupational Program.
Montague will unveil the winning design at The NAFEM Show on February 10th, 2011 at 1:30pm at Booth 1443. Montague will then award the winning suite to the venue for which it was designed. Plus, the winning design team and operation will be featured in print and electronic ads in trade publications, and enjoy an expenses-paid trip to The NAFEM Show, 2011.
In addition, four first-place winning teams will be chosen from entry designs. Courtesy of Montague, they’ll win travel and accommodations to The NAFEM Show as well.
