Meadowlands Country Club, a private club in Blue Bell, Pa. that features a 58-year-old William and David Gordon-designed course, has named John Shapcott as its new Head Golf Professional.

Shapcott replaces the well-respected husband-and-wife team of Paul and Jennifer Barnsley, recently named to a similar position at a club in Connecticut.

Previously, Shapcott worked under the tutelage of Mickey Sokalski at Philmont CC, a 36-hole facility in Montgomery County, on the outskirts of Philadelphia.
