The new Madinat Makadi Golf Course at Madinat Makadi Golf Resort is golf course architect John Sanford’s latest design in Egypt, located near the Red Sea. The new course opened in January.
The course, measuring 7,500 yards, features six sets of tees so it can be played by golfers of all levels, including juniors from 4,500 yards. The front nine is routed on the flatter portion of the site and features three lakes that are connected by rock-lined creeks and two cascading waterfalls. The back nine is more dramatic, featuring more elevation changes with four holes located in ancient wadiis.
Complimenting the layout, Sanford has designed a 20-acre practice facility, including a nine-hole short course and three additional practice holes.
