Jacksonville Golf & Country Club Unveils Latest Plans for $30M “Blueprint for Tomorrow” Project

The Northeast Florida club has revealed new renderings for its sweeping campus overhaul, featuring a resort-style pool complex, state-of-the-art wellness center, and a complete championship golf course redesign set to begin in 2026.

Jacksonville (Fla.) Golf & Country Club has unveiled its latest renderings and plans for its $30 million “Blueprint for Tomorrow” enhancement project.

“Blueprint for Tomorrow represents more than new buildings or improved infrastructure. It reflects a collective commitment from our membership to invest boldly in the future of this club and our community,” says Patrick Cruz, President of the JGCC Board of Governors. “Across Northeast Florida, clubs and businesses are reinvesting in themselves, and we believe Jacksonville Golf & Country Club is setting the tone for what a modern private club can be. When this project is complete, we expect JGCC to stand among the very best anywhere—elevating the experience for our members and raising the standard across the region.”

With member approval happening last spring, the project plans to start construction of phase one in September 2026.

Phase one focuses on the development of a new pool complex supported by the Casual Bar & Grill, dining, pool, and wellness center.

The new wellness center will feature a state of the art dedicated cardio and strength training space, group exercise and multi-purpose rooms, a dedicated spin studio, men’s and women’s locker rooms, spa facilities, and a tennis viewing terrace.

The center will be built between the tennis courts and new pool complex.

The new pool complex will be designed to complement the existing architecture of the main clubhouse and will provide an enhanced outdoor dining experience with covered tables adjacent to the Casual Bar & Grill, all overlooking the new pool configuration, which includes new shade cabanas, recreational lap lanes, children’s area and a zero-entry feature.

“For 30 years we have raised a family and made a home at JGCC,” says Bobby Roche, JGCC member. “We are so happy that our friends and neighbors have approved a vision to elevate our club, making it possible for many more families to proudly call it home for decades to come.”

Also a part of the “Blueprint of Tomorrow” is a complete renovation and redesign of the club’s championship golf course.

The project will include:

  • Completely rebuilt greens, tees, bunkers, and fairways for consistent, high-quality playing conditions.
  • Upgraded infrastructure, including new drainage and irrigation systems for optimal course maintenance and year-round playability.
  • Strategic redesigns to enhance shot options, increase playability for all skill levels, and improve the pace of play.
  • Incorporation of classic template holes, inspired by legendary courses from around the world—such as the Redan, Biarritz, and Punchbowl, but presented in the club’s own unique way.
  • A focus on creating distinctive character and visual interest across all 18 holes.

“With recent member open houses to unveil and discuss the latest plans and renderings, the excitement surrounding this project continues to grow. We are hosting a prospective member open house for individuals interested in learning more about membership opportunities at JGCC and discover what we here at JGCC already know, which is what makes our Club the best in NE Florida,” says Cruz.
