This December, Club + Resort Business will wrap up our inaugural year of the Model Clubs initiative. Throughout 2024, we’ve looked at clubs across the country and drilled into what makes them successful in the categories of Pro Shops, Golf Course Renovation, Racquets, Membership/Marketing, and Clubhouses.
Because of the extreme importance of golf courses at many clubs and an increasing amount of golf course renovations, we’ve decided to add to our Model Clubs initiatives. Has your club recently completed a golf course renovation that you’re extremely proud of? Let us know!
To recap our 2024 initiative: BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, Ga.; and Philadelphia (Pa.) Cricket Club ruled the court in 2024 Model Clubs – Racquets initiative.
Next, today’s Pro Shops offer items for golfers and non-golfers. The Landings Golf and Athletic Club in Savannah, Ga.; the Atlanta (Ga.) Athletic Club; and The University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas are leading the way in offering members and guests everything they could want.
As the Membership & Marketing Director of The Club at Olde Cypress, Melissa Hansen’s role centers on one key mission: Ensure a vibrant and thriving community by attracting new members and keeping the existing ones engaged and satisfied. At Champions Run, keeping members informed, entertained, and engaged is more than just a responsibility—it’s a passion for Ben Lorenzen and Raychel Reed.
Closing out the year, we examine what makes the Clubhouses at BallenIsles Country Club, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; Newport Beach Country Club, Newport Beach, Calif.; The Club at Mediterra, Naples, Fla., so special.
If your club excels in any of these areas, don’t miss this chance to earn recognition, inspire peers, and elevate industry standards. Applying is free and open to any club that’s passionate about growth and excellence. Join the Model Clubs program, where great ideas are shared, celebrated, and set the stage for the future of club experiences.
