Interest-Free Financing Helps The Territory G&CC Add Members

By C&RB Staff | August 31, 2009

The Territory Golf and Country Club, in Duncan, Okla. (“Staking Out Your Territory,” C&RB, Dec. 2006), reports impressive membership growth of 15 percent despite the troubled economy. The club attributes a large part of the credit to its interest-free financing option.

“We’ve found that many of our new members are coming to us because of the financial flexibility of our interest-free financing option,” says Rick Braught, who along with his wife Barbara, owns The Territory. “At the same time, they, as well as our existing members, see the many family activities available as added value at a time when discretionary spending is down.”

The interest-free financing allows prospects to become a full golf member and take up to eight years to pay off their membership deposit—all with no interest being charged. The limited-time offer allows for flexible payment schedules to be arranged.
