The WCI Community in Pensacola, Fla., features a semi-private, 18-hole championship golf course redesigned by Arnold Palmer, a contemporary coastal-inspired clubhouse, two hard surface tennis courts, fitness center, outdoor swimming pool, spa, and waterfront veranda. The property also includes a marina that provides 47 wet-slips, over 140 dry-slips, and a wave-attenuation system.
Honours Golf has been selected to provide management services for Lost Key Golf Club and Lost Key Marina & Yacht Club, a WCI Community located in Pensacola, Fla.
“Lost Key is a beautiful golf facility and is a great addition to our portfolio of clubs along the Gulf Coast,” said Bob Barrett, chief executive officer of Honours Golf. “With four other courses in the area, we are already familiar with the market and we are eager to contribute to the club’s overall success.”
Lost Key features an 18-hole championship golf course carved thru 150 acres of natural vegetation, wetlands, and dense wooded terrain. Aspiring to preserve and protect the natural habitat, Lost Key became the first golf course in the world certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. This environmentally sensitive golf course was originally built in 1997 and later redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 2006. Narrow manicured fairways, an array of water hazards, multiple forced carries and contoured greens are just a few features of this picturesque semi-private golf course.
Complementing the golf course, is a contemporary coastal inspired clubhouse that provides a full-service golf shop, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a banquet facility and a casual upscale restaurant with panoramic views and indoor and outdoor seating.
In addition to golf, Honours will also be overseeing Lost Key’s state-of-the-art marina. The marina provides direct access to the Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf Islands National Seashore and offers 47 wet-slip and over 140 dry-slips accommodating boats up to 60 feet in size. It also includes a wave-attenuation system that provides stability for vessels by minimizing wave action in the marina base.
Other amenities include two hard surface tennis courts, fitness center, outdoor swimming pool, on-site spa and waterfront veranda. Lost Key Golf Club is open to the public and offers a variety of memberships.
