The Wake Forest, N.C., property now offers the “up and coming sport as a way for families and friends to enjoy our award-winning golf course, even if they aren’t avid golfers.”
The Heritage Club, a golf, swim and tennis club in Wake Forest, N.C., has recently added a new avenue by which members can enjoy the award-winning golf course. The greens and fairways are now home to one of North Carolina’s first FootGolf courses, where locals can play a combination of the sports soccer and golf, the club reported.
“As with our Builders Guild, we are constantly seeking new options for our homeowners to enjoy where they live,” says Andy Ammons, president of Ammons Development Group, Heritage developer. “Our team at the Heritage Club has recognized this up and coming sport as a way for families and friends to enjoy our award-winning golf course, even if they aren’t avid golfers.”
FootGolf in the U.S. is governed by the American FootGolf League and is played around the world. Official uniforms, rules, and golf etiquette information can be found at the organization’s web site. Players at Heritage are required to follow all club rules, including dress codes.
C&RB featured The Heritage Club in its April 2012 cover story (“Ensuring a Lasting Heritage“).
The Heritage community features no-cost walking trails and playgrounds, as well as paid membership offerings such as world-class swim, tennis, and golf.
