The new structure would have a capacity of 400 people and city staff of Eau Claire, Wis. is recommending approval, because the city’s comprehensive plan identifies the area as a golf course.
The Eau Claire (Wis.) Plan Commission was scheduled to hold a public hearing on November 4 to hear commentary on a proposal to build a new clubhouse at Wild Ridge Golf Course on the city’s west side, reported the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram.
Wild Ridge GC has requested that the city rezone newly annexed property to a level that allows golf courses by conditional-use permit, and also approve a site plan for a new clubhouse, the Leader-Telegram reported.
The proposed clubhouse, which would be built in about the same location as the existing one, would have a capacity of 400 people and have 141 parking stalls, the Leader-Telegram reported.
City staff is recommending approval of the requests, noting that the city’s comprehensive plan identifies the area as a golf course, the Leader-Telegram reported.
