The nearly complete $50 million renovation of the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., will culminate on Jan. 29 with the opening of Sea Level, a 160-seat oceanfront restaurant, reports The South Florida Business Journal. Sea Level will be the resort’s seventh dining facility.
In addition to significantly improving lodging accommodations, the resort also increased indoor meeting space from 38,000 square feet to 48,000, and doubled the size of the fitness center. Harbor Beach also added more than 100,000 square feet of outdoor meeting space overlooking a private beach.
“The improvements at the Harbor Beach show just what it takes to be part of Fort Lauderdale’s new beach chic,” Nicki Grossman, president and CEO of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, told the Journal. “They have been very good about keeping the property up and improving the property.”
