Remodeling of the locker room and grill areas is complete, and officials plan to have the club open for golf soon. The banquet area and executive offices at the country club are being redone into offices for Hantz Group financial consultants.
Todd Beals, Executive Director of the Detroit Golf Club, was contracted to oversee the change in Tecumseh, reports The Daily Telegram which serves Adrian, Mich. He said a great deal of work was started on the golf course to address some of the neglect in recent years.
“When the country club started going into hard times, they cut the golf course maintenance budget from about $800,000 to about $200,000, and it was starting to show,” Beals said. “We removed 160 trees, cut down some of the wild areas and did soil borings.”
