Veteran executive search professional will expand leadership role and assist in operations, marketing and strategic growth.
GSI Executive Search, an Ethos Club & Leisure Alliance company and a leading firm in private club and hospitality industry recruitment, promoted Scott McNett to Managing Principal.
McNett is based in GSI’s Midwest office in St. Louis and brings nearly 25 years of experience in the industry to the role. Throughout his career, McNett has led more than 400 executive searches across various sectors, including clubs, resorts, hotel, communities and corporations throughout the United States. His diverse background, spanning executive search, professional sports, sports marketing and management, health and tennis club operations and community service has been instrumental in securing top-tier talent for GSI’s clients.

McNetts’s wealth of experience includes 16 years in his role at GSI Executive Search. Prior to GSI, he was Principal at Conley & Company, a prominent national executive search firm. There he played a key part in placing high-level talent in hospitality, financial services, corporate and nonprofit sectors, utilizing his keen ability to identify candidates for highly specialized roles across a variety of industries. He also served as Vice President at John Sibbald Associates, a leading executive search firm for the hospitality industry.
His expertise in this field is further enhanced by his experience owning and operating the South Hampshire Racquet Club in St. Louis, a full-service health club offering tennis, fitness and dining amenities. There he gained invaluable insights into the operational challenges and management needs of hospitality businesses, which has further sharpened his abilities as a recruiter.
Additionally, McNett has served as an Account Executive with Kemper Sports Management in Chicago, where he managed corporate marketing and sponsorship assignments with the PGA Tour. His involvement in tennis as a former USTA Board member and partner at Frontenac Racquet Club in St. Louis further demonstrates his commitment to sports and club management. McNett holds a Master of Science in Sports Management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is a graduate of Denison University in Granville, Ohio.
In his new role as Managing Principal, McNett will work closely with Bob Jones, CCM, CCE, ECM, President of GSI Executive Search, utilizing his unique experience and insights to assist in managing the firm’s daily operations, maintaining vendor relationships and executing marketing strategies. He will also collaborate on identifying and executing on growth opportunities for GSI.
