The Birmingham, Ala., property will host a ribbon-cutting and open house on April 9 for Cellar 91, its new 5,500-sq. ft. restaurant that General Manager/COO David Porter described as “the heart and soul of the club.” The facility is set to open its doors for member dining in mid-April.
Greystone Golf & Country Club in Birmingham, Ala., has announced plans to open a new 5,500-sq. ft. restaurant named Cellar 91 in April, the Shelby County (Ala.) Reporter reported.
The space will receive contemporary styling and decor with stone detail throughout. A mural of Founders hole No. 7 will span one of the restaurant’s walls, and the eatery will overlook the Founders Patio and hole No. 18, the Reporter reported.
“The new restaurant will be the ‘heart and soul’ of the club, the place the neighborhood meets,” General Manager/COO David Porter said. “We are excited to open the restaurant six days a week and offer contemporary country club cuisine.”
The facility will serve breakfast on weekends, and lunch and dinner six days a week. The menu includes thin crust pizzas, small plates, signature burgers and fresh catch creations, while receiving produce from local farmers rather than grocery stores, the Reporter reported.
“The restaurant opening in Greystone’s 25th year is also a special opportunity as we are able to build around this for the club’s bright future, while breaking the mold of how we’ve done things in the past, and making our present the best it’s ever been,” Andrew Nevin, Front of House Manager, said.
The restaurant’s ribbon-cutting and open house are scheduled for April 9, where members can enjoy complimentary menu samplings and an open bar. The restaurant is set to open its doors for member dining in mid-April, the Reporter reported.
