The custom-designed room is located underneath the Angels Camp, Calif., resort’s restaurant, and represents 13 wines produced in Calaveras County, and more than 100 wines produced by the resort’s vintner members.
Greenhorn Creek Resort in Angels Camp, Calif., has launched The Cellar Room. Located underneath the award-winning CAMPS Restaurant and a chip shot from the first tee of the Robert Trent Jones, Jr. re-designed layout, the custom-designed Cellar Room recognizes the link between golf and wine by highlighting Greenhorn Creek’s Vintner Club partners representing 13 of the 35 Calaveras County wines produced in the Sierra Foothills region.
“Our goal at Greenhorn Creek is to provide our members and guests with quality amenities to stay, eat, golf, or relax,” said General Manager Mike Kristoff. “The addition of our unique Cellar Room goes another step toward enhancing the overall customer experience under one roof.”
Due to elevation changes and variety of microclimates, Calaveras County is considered one of the world’s most diverse and finest wine growing regions and The Cellar Room is a welcome introduction to more than 100 exclusive wines produced by Greenhorn Creek’s Vintner Members including: Chatom Vineyards; Chiarella Wines; Coppermine Winery; Domaine Becquet; Frog’s Tooth; Four Winds Cellars; Ironstone Vineyards; La Folia; Mineral Wines; Prospect 772 Winery; Renner Winery; Stevenot Winery; and Zucca Wines.
Given a large selection of varietals, guests are encouraged to take advantage of Greenhorn Creek’s Wine Club to enjoy these distinct wines all year around with quarterly shipments of the “Par 3 Package” (three bottles), “Birdie Box” (four bottles), or “Whole-In-One” (six bottles).
C&RB featured Greenhorn Creek Resort and its CAMPS Restaurant in the September 2012 issue (“Land of Plenty“).
