Graff Jewelry, Meet The Carnegie Abbey Club

By C&RB Staff | April 30, 2008

Graff Jewelry, the London-based company with an international reputation of excellence, provided an opulent display of its finest and most popular collections never before seen outside its stores, and valued at more than $30 million, as part of a special charity event held for members of The Carnegie Abbey Club, in Portsmouth, R.I.

The event, by invitation only, drew a crowd of more than 100 members and guests for cocktails at the 400-acre private club, which features golf, equestrian, yachting and tennis facilities.

Pieces on display (all of which were brought to the club under armed security) included a pink and blue sapphire necklace valued at $800,000, an enormous canary-colored diamond ring worth $1.1 million, and a very rare golden pearl necklace valued at $340,000.

As members draped themselves in exquisite jewels, the bar of expectation for club events was officially raised.
