A new multi-tiered partnership between GolfNow and Uber will begin September 25, with a weekend promotion conducted in 10 U.S. cities and Orange County, Calif., which will offer Uber riders discounts on golf, surprise gifts and an opportunity to win free golf for a year.
GolfNow will give all riders in the 11 designated markets a discount on their next round of golf and automatically register them for a chance to win free golf for a year when using the Uber app from September 25 – 27, between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. The cities include Charlotte, N.C.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Los Angeles, Calif.; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Orlando, Fla.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Pittsburgh, Pa.; San Diego, Calif.; Tampa, Fla.; Tucson, Ariz.; and the cities incorporating Orange County, Calif.
One grand-prize of free golf for a year per market will be awarded. Additionally, 11 riders in each city (excluding Los Angeles and Orange County) that use the GolfNow option in the Uber app on September 26, will win a prize pack valued at more than $200. One lucky rider among the 11 also will receive a Srixon driver valued at $349.99.
HOW IT WORKS:
1. Use Uber September 25-27 in any of the designated markets and receive a discount on your next round of golf.
2. All riders using Uber September 25-27 are automatically entered to win free golf for a year
3. On September 26, between 9 a.m.-5 p.m., use the GolfNow option in the Uber app and be eligible to win GolfNow prize packages (all cities included, except Los Angeles and Orange County).
“Both GolfNow and Uber have shown tremendous creativity throughout the development of this partnership, which is a testament to our commitment to find progressive ways to connect with people digitally,” said Jeff Foster, senior vice president of New Media for Golf Channel. “Collaboration such as this allows GolfNow to expand our brand footprint and connect more people to golf.”
“We are thrilled to join forces with GolfNow to help deliver solutions that elevate the Uber experience for riders across the United States. The promotion is the first stage of the GolfNow/Uber partnership, which is expected to launch new elements in 2016.
