Golf Trail Rolls Out Tee Time Waitlist System at 26 Courses in Alabama

By C&RB Staff | July 9, 2024

Through Noteefy, golfers desiring tee times already taken or not yet available at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail courses receive real-time alerts. “There is high demand to play our golf courses and we needed an automated way to let our golfers know when cancellations occur, so they could fill those slots,” says Mike Beverly, CEO of Sunbelt Golf Corporation.

The Noteefy automated tee time waitlist notification system is now utilized at 26 golf courses at 10 locations along The Robert Trent Jones Golf Tail throughout Alabama.

Through Noteefy, golfers desiring tee times already taken or not yet available at RTJ Golf Trail courses receive real-time text and e-mail alerts when those slots open due to cancellation or availability releases. They then book tee times online per the normal process.

“There is high demand to play our golf courses and we needed an automated way to let our golfers know when cancellations occur, so they could fill those slots,” said Mike Beverly, CEO of Sunbelt Golf Corporation that owns and operates RTJ Golf Trail.  “Partnering with Noteefy is also a win for our course operations when revenue tied to cancelled tee times doesn’t perish.”

The Noteefy booking assistant – often referred to as the OpenTable and Resy marketing product for golf – is customized to Touchstone courses’ branding and integrates seamlessly and directly on top of each POS tee sheet. No longer is the tee-time re-booking system manual, thus courses re-allocate staff to higher-use duties.

“The RTJ Golf Trail was born to boost tourism, attract retirees and spur economic growth within Alabama on a grand scale,” said Jake Gordon, Founder and CEO of Noteefy. “We are honored to be part of this great vision in helping the trail re-market tee times to golfers who eagerly want to play, but initially got shut out.”

Club + Resort Business hosted Gordon on an episode of the Club + Resort Talks podcast in February and a webinar followed, highlighting how Cabot Citrus Farms and Chamber Bay utilized the system.

Award winning courses along The RTJ Golf Trail include Grand National (Opelika, Ala.), Ross Bridge (Hoover, Ala.), Capitol Hill (Prattville, Ala.) and Cambrian Ridge (Mobile, Ala.).

Noteefy is one of the hottest and fastest growing companies in golf. Golf courses and resorts operated by KemperSports, Landscapes Golf Management, PGA Tour’s TPC Network, Bobby Jones Links, Touchstone Golf, CourseCo, as well as businesses under single ownership, are deploying Noteefy in droves.

Research shows more than 20% of tee times are cancelled and not re-booked, leading to an average of $50,000 in lost revenue annually.  Operators leverage Noteefy for six-figure topline gains while relieving golfers’ frustrations of refreshing websites and calling pro shops.
