The Chris Wilcyznski-designed course within the Lakewood Ranch, Fla. community will ultimately be a resident-only private golf venue. Residents will also have access to other planned resort amenities, including a wellness center, culinary center, resort-style pool, sports courts, fitness center and a full-time lifestyle manager.
Taylor Morrison has unveiled its new 18-hole championship golf course within the Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch (Fla.) community, Business Observer reported. Golf Course Architect Chris Wilczynski designed the course.
C+RB first reported about the project in August 2019.
The golf course sits within the approximately 1,000-acre Azario community, Business Observer reported. With six sets of tees that play from 3,500 to more than 7,000 yards, the layout includes wide fairways and strategic bunkering.
“Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch is an exciting new addition to Lakewood Ranch, a highly desired location for new housing in Manatee County,” said Joseph Fontana, Division President of Taylor Morrison in Sarasota, in the statement. “We were excited to work with Chris again to build a golf course that residents will enjoy for many years to come.”
The golf course will ultimately be a resident-only private golf venue, Business Observer reported. New homes are now selling within the community. Residents will have access to the golf course and other planned resort amenities, including a wellness center, culinary center, resort-style pool, sports courts, fitness center and a full-time lifestyle manager.
Pope Properties and Pope Golf manage the Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch community and golf course, Business Observer reported. As the course opens, USGA best practices and CDC guidelines will be followed, under the current pandemic.
